Tour Overview

This expert guided birding tour will take you from Hobart to Bruny Island and back again in one day. The personalised tour explores the natural world of Bruny Island with a specialist nature guide. The tour may take in a range of different location and habitats across Bruny Island, including the Inala Conservation Reserve, Cloudy Bay, Cape Bruny Lighthouse, Adventure Bay, The Neck, and Cape Queen Elizabeth. Inala Nature Tours' day tours are personalised and locations visited will depend on your personal wish list.

If you travel down to the Inala Conservation Reserve on South Bruny Island you will have the opportunity to observe the endangered Tasmanian endemic Forty-spotted Pardalote within one of its largest known colonies, as well as Tasmanian endemic bird species and a number of threatened species, such as the Tasmanian Wedge-tailed Eagle.

To catch the first ferry and maximise the time spent on Bruny Island, we suggest an early start from Hobart at around 6.45am. The Inala guide would aim to catch a return ferry by late afternoon, for a return to your Hobart destination by 5pm. This tour is perfect for anyone who does not time to spend the night on Bruny Island or take one of the tours departing from the Inala Conservation Reserve on South Bruny.
