The Jurassic Garden on Bruny Island features a collection of over 750 plants species with connections to Gondwana. Dr Tonia Cochran established the garden, driven by her passion for Gondwana's story. With qualifications in Botany and Zoology, Tonia has always been fascinated by this ancient supercontinent and leapt at the chance to preserve rare and important plants at Inala.Â

Jurassic Garden Visitor Guide: Please read the guide prior to your visit. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep the garden in peak condition for all to enjoy.
Sun protection: Tasmania has high UV intensity - wide-brimmed hats and SPF 50+ sunscreen are recommended.Â
Footwear: Wear sturdy footwear year-round. If you go off the main concrete path, the grass areas near ponds can get swampy during winter.Â

Inala hosts annual and one-off events in the garden during quieter visitor periods.
