EXCELLENTBased on 230 reviewsVerifiedeep61915/11/2024Outstanding Experience My husband and I joined two consecutive Inala tours (SW Australian Endemics and Tasmania Birds and Mammals) for a total of almost 3 weeks. These trips both had a total of 7 guests and 1 guide/driver (Angus McNab and Cat Davidson, respectively). Both guides were exceptionally knowledgable, friendly, and capable. The tours were nicely organized, well paced, and included congenial participants. We saw birds and animals (Scrubbirds, Tasmanian Devils, Quolls, Numbats, and Platypus) we hoped to see, but couldn't believe we would actually be lucky enough to see. A highlight of our tour was the two-night stay at Inala Nature Reserve, a stronghold for a number of Australian endangered and threatened species. Thank you Inala for what you do and sharing some of the best of Australia's flora and fauna with us!VerifiedMaryAnne80611/11/2024Sensational Tour w/ Inala - so much to see and learn - fantastic !! We want to thank the whole Inala Team for the work you all do for your local wildlife flora and fauna to support them in this time of tremendous difficulty and stress! Also, we wanted to write to you about the astounding One Day Tour we had with our spectacular guide Cat Davidson !!!! She was so informed not only about the birds, but also the plants, geology, history and the local issues that are important to our shared future. We learned and saw so much with Cat, and also shared so much joy and laughter. She is truly an extraordinary birding expert, and she is exceptional at explaining wildlife behavior and the interconnectedness of all the flora and fauna. We want to thank Cat for so generously sharing her knowledge and love of nature with us. It was such a special, magnificent day! If we could give Inala a 100 gold star review here we would. It is a remarkable reserve with inspiring and essential goals to preserve the flora and fauna unique to South Bruny IslandMary Anne & Glenn GadeVerifiedJenny T06/11/2024Wonderful nature! Another superb trip with Inala Nature Tours, this time to Western Australia's coral coast and wheatbelt. Our leader, Angus McNab was wonderful - very knowledgeable, calm and great at problem solving in the outback! It was a great group to travel with and we saw many different birds, beautiful wildflowers and spectacular scenery.I will definitely be doing more trips with Inala!VerifiedPaul M28/10/2024Wonderful experience, highly recommend Highly recommend, strong conservation ethos throughout, excellent facilities and very informed and engaged guide Cat Davidson took us on a small group tour of the property. Answered all of our questions, had wonderful knowledge of both flora and fauna in equal measure, and was simply a joy to experience. Thank you and will be back!VerifiedVGbirder28/10/2024Amazing wildlife on a beautiful island Tasmania is a beautiful island and Inala are the perfect people to show you the wildlife. My tour included sites around Devonport, Cradle Mountain, Mt Field, Hobart and Bruny Island. I let 4 Inala guides and they were all fantastic.VerifiedSydneysider4407/10/2024Fabulous. My wife and I had a wonderfulday birding with Joe. He was a great guide and excellent company for the day. We got all 12 endemics and a lot of other birds as well. All in all lovely and very successful day. We also stayed at the Inala Cottage, which was very comfortable, a beautiful garden and surrounded by fabulous birdlife.VerifiedCuriosity77210416/09/2024Red Centre and Top End tours I went on the July 2024 Red Centre Tour in the Alice Springs area and the Top End Tour starting in Darwin immediately after. Both tours were well organised, interesting, friendly and dedicated to seeing as many birds as possible. Our guides were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and had eyes like hawks for spotting birds. I added 108 new birds to my list from these two tours. Our accommodation, food and transport met our needs and took us to some wonderful outdoor nature and cultural places in the Northern Territory ending in Kununurra in Western Australia. The local knowledge of our guides, the quality of planning and accommodation, a varied itinerary of places for seeing birds, time for cultural and scenic viewing activities, friendly participants, and most of all, birds galore made these thoroughly enjoyable and memorable trips.VerifiedJohn T09/08/2024Day birding tour to Sydney and the Royal National Park. We were returning to NSW for a brief stay and really wanted to pick up two species of birds that we missed last time, so we contacted Inala Nature Tours who arranged a guide for us. We were picked up at our Sydney accommodation at 7am and we drove straight to Centennial Park where our first target, Powerful Owl, was roosting high in a tree. We had great views! From there we drove via the coast of Botany Bay to the Royal National Park, where we started our search for Rockwarbler. This took some time and two circuits of the cliffs at Wottamolla, but eventually the bird popped out right in front of us, but it was too quick for the camera. Andrew, our guide, supplied morning tea and a substantial picnic lunch and we enjoyed an excellent and fulfilling day birding. Thank you Andrew and Inala for arranging.VerifiedSteve B24/07/2024Wildlife and rare plants Highlight of a week in Tasmania. Had a delightful day, wandering around the gorgeous gardens than taking the afternoon wildlife tour. Great spot for bird-watching - I saw all four Tasmanina robins, plus the very rare and elusive Forty-Spotted Pardalote. Also abundant wallabies and pademelons. The Jurassic Garden has a stunning collection of plants including many rare ones. Highly recommended for nature lovers.VerifiedMargaret N08/07/2024Wonderful birds great experience We were on the SW Qld tour in June 2024 with Steve and Tonia as musterers, guides and drivers. This is our second Inala birding tour with Steve and it was as thorough and enjoyable as the first. Tonia was lovely to have along to keep us all in line and offer wonderful insights into plants and animals. There was a lot of travelling but the bonus was the birds, scenery etc. along the way. It was so green and lush that it was hard to imagine the country as dry and dusty. We saw around 180 species of birds, some very rare sightings and great views. We were well provided with food and the accomodation was good. The other travellers were a good bunch and the rotating seat system meant that we shared a day in one of the cars with each of them. Thanks again to all involved. We would never have gone to that part of Queensland by ourselves.
