Focus on seeds and pods.

This workshop in botanical illustration includes a guided walk through the Inala Jurassic Garden. Rachel will introduce you to the basics of botanical art and show you some more advanced techniques, including colour theory, observational skills and how to capture rounded forms through an exploration of seeds and pods.

Continue your botanical art adventure in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere with Rachel’s guided step-by-step process on how to render a realistic illustration using pencil, dry brush and wet-in-wet watercolour.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and intermediate artists, and  includes a short guided walk through the Jurassic Garden.
Basic materials and afternoon tea provided.

The Inala Foundation supports the Inala Jurassic Garden Noah's Ark projects, which conserve endangered plant species, especially those with Gondwanan origin.

The Inala Foundation protects wildlife and regenerates habitat on Bruny Island. In collaboration with the Inala Jurassic Garden, the Foundation also conserves endangered plant species.

The Inala Nature Reserve provides essential habitat for endangered wildlife species such as the Forty-spotted Pardalote, Swift Parrot and Eastern Quoll.
