We are delighted to share that the Inala Foundation has secured funding through the Threatened Species Partnership Grant Program, supported by the Tasmanian Government through the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas). Our project will focus on protecting the endangered Forty-spotted Pardalote, a species found only in Tasmania. We’ll be delivering this work in partnership with Tasmanian Arboriculture Group and the Difficult Birds Research Group, bringing together scientific knowledge and specialised arboriculture expertise.

Together, we will develop a practical, science-based habitat assessment framework and establish a strategic baseline to better understand the condition of white gum (Eucalyptus viminalis) on the Inala property, Bruny Island. This includes assessing tree health, mapping and monitoring critical nesting hollows, and identifying priority conservation actions. Tasmanian Tree Care will then play a key role in delivering the mitigation measures identified, through proactive tree maintenance initiatives aimed at protecting and enhancing important habitat features.
