Sam grew up camping, surfing, and exploring the wild landscapes of lutruwita/Tasmania. These formative experiences sparked a lifelong passion for nature that has evolved into a 20-year career dedicated to protecting and celebrating the diverse natural and cultural values of Australia—and beyond.
His professional journey has spanned wilderness guiding, sustainability, and environmental education, followed by roles in community engagement, policy development, and senior leadership with Parks Tasmania.
After three years leading guiding operations for another tourism operator, Sam joins Inala as our Operations Manager. He’s excited to bring his experience and energy to an organisation that truly cares about both people and the planet.
