Australia's Top Tour Guide in 2025 - Cat Davidson

Inala guide Cat has been awarded Australia's highest guiding honour at a ceremony at Parliament House in Canberra on September 3rd. Amy Hills, Tourism Industry Council Tasmania's (TICT) Chief Executive Officer, said the award highlighted the critical role played by tour guides in creating memorable visitor experiences.

“Cat Davidson epitomises everything Tasmanian tourism stands for and we couldn’t be prouder,” Hills said.

Tasmanian Minister for Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Jane Howlett, also congratulated Cat, saying

“These awards are a benchmark for the gold standard of tourism in Australia and to have one of our tour guides taking out the top award is recognition of the high standard found in Tasmania...Cat’s deep commitment to birding and ecology guiding helps visitors connect to our landscape and soak up the magic".
