We had the pleasure of welcoming Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Australian Age of Dinosaurs David Elliott and Head of their Natural History Museum Naomi Miles to Inala recently. David and Naomi had travelled from their base in Winton in outback Central West Queensland near Longreach to chat to Tonia about developing a botanic garden on the site.

The Age of Dinosaurs Museum is a world-class organisation which houses the world’s largest collection of Australia’s largest dinosaur fossils, and is based at David and his wife Judy’s sheep station. A fossil preparation laboratory, reception centre and ‘March of the Titanosaurs’ exhibition at Dinosaur Canyon can also be found here. This area was designated Australia’s first International Dark Sky Sanctuary and draws visitors from around the world who want to view the night sky in all its glory without any light pollution from neighbouring towns and cities. Future plans include the development of a botanic garden and a new museum, exhibition and education centre.
